Mike Swick is a popular fighter who's put together a solid
record in the UFC since participating in the original The Ultimate Fighter
show. Swick earned the nickname "Quick" with a 22 second KO in his first
UFC fight.
Mike Swick has been favored in most of his UFC fights,
but is rarely a prohibitive pick. Joe Silva seemingly always finds dynamic
strikers to match against Swick who prefers to stand and trade with his
opponents. He's been training with American Kickbox Academy, where he
can work with prominent wrestlers like Koscheck and Fitch.
Swick's talent level has been defined clearly. He's dominated
everyone except Yushin Okami and Dan Hardy, both top contenders in their
weight classes.
